Middle School Beach Volleyball Camp
Thank you for inquiring about the Legacy Beach intermediate beach volleyball camp. This program has been developed by Dr. Joel Kelley and Brent Reynolds to aid in the development of the appropriate skills, and the progression into competitive beach volleyball doubles tournaments.
This program is designed to meet athletes where they are currently at in their volleyball journey, while also pushing them beyond their perceived limits. The camp will prepare athletes mentally and physically for the rigors of competitive volleyball, while equipping them to strategize through matches on their own. This is a unique opportunity for the athletes to learn what it takes to be a “coach on the court”. This ability to mentally process a match, and perform closer to one's maximum potential is an invaluable tool that will aid in their progression as volleyball players on the court and in the sand.
This program benefits the athlete’s overall game- both court and indoor. With fewer players on the court, having to withstand the outdoor elements, and the increase in touches- the athlete often progresses in their abilities twice as fast! Athletes will go through extensive training in every aspect of the game including passing, serving, setting, hitting, blocking, defensive positioning, reading, hitting footwork, on court communication, and defensive and offensive strategic planning. Significant game-like scenarios will be introduced to each athlete, and will prepare your child for higher levels of competition both on the beach, and on the court!
During the week of the camp, athletes will meet at Legacy Beach Volleyball Club every day from 9:30-11:30 for two intense hours of training. To ensure the highest quality of instruction to each participant, we are limiting the camp to the first 20 registrants who are paid in full.
All participants will be given a free Legacy Beach Volleyball T- shirt and free entry into the Legacy Beach Junior Doubles Tournament held directly after practice on Friday.
